Description: While standing, sitting, or lying down, hold your arm along your body or in front of your pelvis. Slowly raise your arm forward to shoulder height or beyond, with your elbow straight or slightly bent. Keep your trunk stable throughout the movement.

Tips: Control the upward and downward movement of your arm to avoid jerky motions. Keep your back straight and avoid arching your back when raising your arm.

Progression: Gradually increase the height to which you raise your arm or add a light weight if the movement feels easy.
