Listen to the instructions

How to do the exercise

Sets: 3

Repetitions: 8 per leg

Description: Assume a plank position, supported on forearms and toes, with the body well aligned. Keeping the core stable, slowly lift one leg backward by extending it, then lower it without touching the ground. Alternate legs, controlling the movement to strengthen the abdominals and gluteal muscles.

Tips: Keep your back straight and avoid arching the lumbar spine. Contract the abdominal muscles to stabilize the pelvis throughout the exercise.

Progression: Gradually increase the number of repetitions or the duration of holding the elevated position as the exercise becomes easier.
